From Hakipedia
Network Security is the process of protecting digital information assets. The three main goals involved in network security are nicknamed the "CIA"; protect Confidentiality, maintain Integrity, and assure Availability. With that said, it is exigent to ensure protection against threats and vulnerabilities within a network to ensure that a business can perform to its full potential. In a lot of cases, the threats to a computer network are far from deciduous due to vulnerabilities or misconfiguration in hardware or software, poor network design, lack of security policy, technology weakness, and/or end-user carelessness.
This category outlines some of the security threats within a network, how attacks can occur, and the mitigation of these attacks. Hakipedia is an ongoing work in progress, and encourages users to criticize the work written here, and add, update, or modify work.
